Springer Scholarships for the 5th ICCNS Meeting

About the Scholarships

Springer and the International CCN Society are happy to announce that three Scholarships will be given to students/post doctoral fellows for presenting their work at the 5th International workshop on the CCN family of genes to be held in Toronto Oct 18-22, 2008.

The total amount provided by Springer for these scholarships is 1500 Euros (presently 2100 USD).

The scholarships will be paid directly to the ICCNS society to cover the meeting registration fees of the three selected individuals.

Travel expenses are not covered by the scholarships.

Guidelines for Application

Each applicant must submit an abstract of the work to be presented at the meeting (see format for abstract presentation on the ICCNS website, under 2008 meeting information). The abstract should be sent electronically to PresidentCCN@gmail.com. A letter of support from a mentor (who must be a member of the ICCNS) sponsoring the abstract must be sent with the abstract.

Deadline for application: June 1st, 2008.

Selection of Recipients

Selection of the abstracts will be performed on the basis of originality and novelty.

All nominations will be critically reviewed abstracts by the Scientific Committee of the ICCNS, under the chairmanship of Pr. L. Lau who will provide to the President of the ICCNS a list of 5 names ranked in order (from top to bottom). Based on the recommendations of the Scientific Committee, recipients will be nominated by the President of the ICCNS.

The recipients will be notified by email no later than august 1st, 2008.

Acceptance of the Scholarship should be made with the understanding that the recipient will be attending the 5th International Workshop on the CCN family of Genes.
