5th International Workshop

The venue

The 5th International Workshop on the CCN Family of Genes will be held at the DELTA CHELSEA HOTEL, downtown Toronto, Canada.

The hotel located in the downtown area provides participants with comfortable accommodations, a full range of activities, and ready access by every means of transportation. In the tradition of the previous ICCNS workshops all efforts will be made to provide participants in this workshop with a most enjoyable and interactive academic experience infused with an inviting social atmosphere.

NEW FOR THE 2008 WORKSHOP :

- Presentation of the SPRINGER-ICCNS AWARD given to a renowned scientist in recognition of his/her scientific achievements

- Broadening the spectrum of the Workshop with inclusion of a scientific session devoted to OTHER EXTRACELLULAR PROTEINS

- Introduction of moderated POSTER DISCUSSION SESSIONS to afford qualified trainees the opportunity to present their work, in brief, as a platform presentation followed by an informal discussion. Poster discussion periods will be interspersed with the more formal sessions of platform presentations.

- YOUNG INVESTIGATORS SPRINGER SCHOLARSHIPS to cover meeting fees and lodging for three students and/or post-doctoral fellows attending the CCN Workshop.

- publication by Springer of an updated book on CCN PROTEINS (Ed. B. Perbal and M. Takigawa), in which all speakers will be given the opportunity to write a chapter.

Altogether we anticipate that this enhanced program will satisfy all participants.
